After the 2010 earthquake, Pastor Mackendy founded Community Tabernacle Church and school with the purpose of bringing hope to Bass-Fosse, Haiti. The first services and school sessions were held in a banana leaf hut where 70 kids were enrolled. With the help of CLF, Community Tabernacle now has a building that houses church services attended by 150 members and an elementary school with over 100 kids enrolled. 

Support from CLF has also provided small business loans for moms and farmers and aided during some of the hardships the community has faced, such as outbreaks and natural disasters.
